Objectives:
Our client tasked us with restoring 900m² of flooring in their manufacturing facility, seeking a durable solution to enhance the factory’s aesthetics. With BOEING visiting to inspect first-class seating products, it was crucial that MJF Ireland’s flooring system reflected the quality of their craftsmanship.
Challenges:
10+ year concrete floor with old coatings, joint damage, and impact damage throughout.
Our Solution:
The surface was prepared through shot blasting and diamond grinding to remove existing coatings. Joints were chased, primed, and refilled with liquid flexi joint resin, while cracks and potholes were repaired using epoxy mortar. The system comprised a PU primer, silica sand broadcast, 2mm PU SL body coat, and a matte pigment sealer with an alulox non slip additive. Following this successful installation, Thompsons Aero Seating approved an additional 2,100m² for phased completion in 2025, with our in-house team ensuring minimal production disruption.
